“LIFE IS EASY! ALL WE HAVE TO DO, IS GET TO KNOW OURSELVES”
PREFACE
This work started off by having a moment of intuition that occurred when I was reading Eckhart Tolles, The Power of Now and A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life's Purpose. Listening to a lot of Sage Francis, http://youtu.be/bPC1KK1IBTE
Then intuitively coming across the words “Gnothi Seauton” or “Know Thyself”. I saw this first in Eckhart Tolles book, A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, and the next day I watched a YOU TUBE clip Ancient. Secrets - Mysteries Oracle Delphi (Greece) www.youtube.com I suddenly had a moment that connected all that falls in the realm of possibility. Which is Infinite of course? I encourage you to read on. Whether you are already supremely happy, or have finally found yourself ready for the end of suffering, regardless if this message provides the potential for entertainment. Life is easy!
First it is important for you to understand that I do not promote myself as a scholar of history. As a writer, I also seek forgiveness of any grammatical errors. I am a content writer and unless any one reading the stuff I write about is willing to edit it, then most likely the errors will continue. I imagine that much of what I have to say here can be debated to no end. Yes, most probably, a lot of information I wrote in this message is outright wrong in what truly happened to the life of Socrates and history of Greece. I ask in advance for the forgiveness in my errors. I progress through this granting myself the right of literary license knowingly, writing part fact and part fiction to provide a message where one will hopefully find a message that really has little to do with Greece and a lot more to do with getting to know ourselves
Similarities:
Know Thyself or Gnothi Seauton, like I mentioned in the initial post, these words where inscribed above the entrance to the temple of Apollo. The Greeks would visit the Oracle of Delphi seeking answers to problems they were experiencing. They entered the temple with the intent of getting answers and would pay tribute to the oracle, and the oracle would give them cryptic answers to their questions. Leaving the individuals to interpret the cryptic answers in whatever fashion that pleased them.
Socrates was considered the wisest man in Greece at the time and he promoted the idea that the answers to all questions could be found by getting to know oneself. Similarly as today people can't seem to find value in something that can be obtained for free or even a little work. Even, I found the value in paying a psychiatrist to psychoanalyse me and pay him/her many dollars per hour until finally I was able to abandon a measure of ego and simply seek and ask friends that would just tell me the truth even when it hurt like hell. When a person asks for the truth and it is given it can't be denied, truth needs no justification and always has the ability to resonate with clarity in the soul and accepted with the resonance of something that simply is. Gratefully, I was able to save a bunch of money and made more accelerated progress in learning who I was.
It is darkly humorous to me that people in general sometime travel to the ends of the earth seeking the answers to ones questions. I myself have taken many journeys of this nature. My entire life has been thus far a journey to knowing myself. In my early years, my life was fuelled with ego and this led inevitably to a seemingly never-ending cycle of hubris. Meaning I would build myself up with ego only to have reality pull the rug from beneath me so to speak. Not knowing any different, I would then get back up, knock the dust off and try again, painfully expanding my ego into exponentially larger proportions only to fall from even higher heights. Eventually, thank God, I finally realized that I was trapped in a pattern that I could not seem to find escape from. This led to extreme amounts of pain and suffering to me and those around me.
I think about the Greeks entering into the temple of Delphi seeking answers, and the fact that the answer to all of their questions could be found within themselves if they only took the time to find a solution to the question of using the command above the entrance. Know Thyself. Brilliantly the Oracle of Delphi had given the answer to a person finding their own answers and I imagine it was humorous for them that people found value in paying for something that they already had within themselves. Socrates from what I know about him, promoted this concept intensely. As the fall of the Greek Empire transpired the people of Greece needed a scapegoat. They were intent on having their answers provided to them by someone else. Even though the Temple of Delphi had the inscription of KNOW THYSELF, above the entrance, It appears that not many people chose to attempt knowing themselves. While at the same time Socrates promoted the idea that all answers are within ourselves, ready to be illuminated by getting to know oneself. He suddenly became a threat to the oracle because he began to have a growing audience. It is curious that the oracle condemned Socrates for something they promoted themselves. It always seems to come back to one thing in this world. Money or tributes of some sort and when powerful organizations begin to lose profit margin, the pattern seems to always include getting rid of the competition.
Infinite possibility:
I simply seek and promote finding the light of happiness. I hope that my message is received in the tone intended. A tone and call for the creation of the frequency of love and unity of all men and women of all races, creeds, religions, and sexual orientation and whatever other illusion of separation that some may find the need to describe themselves. It is simple. I am proposing that every problem our society is experiencing can and will be transcended by kicking back, slowing down, from our busy lives and getting to KNOW THYSELF. The writing is on the wall for Christ sake! From what I can find, every civilization has fallen because of this issue. Although it seems that some of our civilizations that knew this truth used it to transcend the destruction. The material or architectural remnants may lead to a belief that the people where destroyed as well. But, they could have simply found a portal to another dimension and continued their life stream in another alternate reality escaping polar shifts, solar flares, any extinction level events whether asteroid strikes or self inflicted radiation, lead, fluoride, etc… poisoning or all of the above.
Purpose of Suffering:
I have found that more than history repeats itself. Having an unconscious expression of life by living a life filled with self-defeating behaviours that fuel our forward momentum with ego lead to a suffering loop. Regardless of popular belief, alcohol and other drugs are not the only sources of unconsciousness. Being unconscious means that we are not tuned to the frequency of creation. Unconsciousness is the frequency produced by the motivation of selfishness. It is disharmonious with the frequency of the collective consciousness that is the Divine plan for our reality. Suffering has the purpose of providing motivation for having the need to seek change. And as in the macrocosm so is the microcosm. MANY INDIVIDUALS are experiencing suffering. It is also painfully obvious that Mother Nature is experiencing the same. So if suffering of self can precipitate personal change than it is only logical that environmental suffering will bring about change as well.
The problem is that we have been conditioned or falsely educated to believe that the Earth and all matter is separate from self. Science has been making monumental leaps in understanding of the nature of reality. That which holds all matter together is accepted either as a divine force or quantum field, while the name is irrelevant semantically it is undeniable that this it is proven fact. What that means is, all matter, humans, animals, elements, organisms of all kinds, the earth, the sun, the universe are parts of a larger organism called life. Humans are like cells of the Earth, simply smaller parts of the whole. Everything is connected by consciousness. Everything is pure consciousness. Time, Space and Matter are all illusions. The science is in folks, these concepts that I speak about, are laws of nature and cannot be disputed as untruths!
For whatever reason, either conspiracy motivated, or simply the fact that corporations rule our government and greed and control is the primary motivation. We are conditioned by the mass media and people that make sure that the citizens of our country have one of the weakest education systems of the world. The division between the classes is expanding at a rapid rate. The rich continue to get richer and the poor stay poor unless they find the necessity of educating themselves. This means that we can expect the same results for our civilization. In a nutshell, our civilization is doomed to fall if we collectively, personally do not change. Change self and the world automatically creates itself from our beliefs. This is a scientifically proven fact. Everything that we can conceive of is interconnected. This is also a scientifically proven fact.
Alcohol and other drugs are not the only cause of the state of unconsciousness. Ego can be a primary cause for unconsciousness; Unconsciousness is what leads us through a growing process of suffering. Suffering is the catalyst for spiritual development. The amount of suffering one experience's is also directly proportional to the depth of ones spiritual development and understanding of reality. I can tell you from experience though that alcohol and other drugs can dramatically increase the amount of suffering. The selfishness of this behaviour, I have to thank those that were affected by it because my Spiritual awakening is explosive in nature simply because of the amount of suffering I found necessary to experience before becoming willing to change. And go on a quest of getting to know myself instead of running from it. Even Forest Gump finally got tired of running.
How to find out who you are:
Often times I will ask someone to tell me about themselves. Usually a stream of information that describes what they perceive themselves to be. “I am a house wife and take care of 3 children, she may say, while adding that they attend church regularly and that they like to play cards for fun. And that there husband is in high demand with his skills as a piano tuner. “I do not recognize ones habits, hobbies and occupations as a person's identify. Also, like Eckhart Tolle, speaks about, sometimes people will flower up the definition of themselves by adding spiritual endeavours such as attending church, being in the choir, doing yoga, practising meditation, being immortal souls and spiritual beings of light as attempts to define themselves. Even if these are true statements, to me these are merely descriptions of what they do. Not who they are.
Knowing oneself has nothing to do with activities of any sort, hobbies, jobs, charity promotions or anything else of a doing nature. Knowing oneself to me is what I find, when I am in the state of non-doing.
The art of getting to know oneself is the easiest thing in the world to do. This is how I do it.
Three times a day, I sit still and silence my mind. The first times that I attempted this, I became aware of a non-stop internal dialogue that would not stop. Soon I began to identify that pattern where apparent in my thoughts. I would either be thinking of the horrors of my past, the imaginary grandeur of my future or judging myself or others. Eventually, I began to understand that all of this internal dialogue could be stopped at any time, by simply choosing to not think of these things. The main objective of this process is to tune into GOD by practising meditation and expanding the silence between my thoughts.
After a period, I eventually saw the wisdom of keeping my mind either silent or choosing to think constructively about problem solving throughout the day. I started to exercise this, being increasingly focused in the moment. The internal dialogue that had just about drove me insane stopped being a curse was now a catalyst for change. I realize now that my internal dialogue had been about bracing up my insecurities with detailed plans for increasing the size of my ego. I now exercise staying silent of mind or thinking constructive all day. I call it my walking mediation. Think constructively or not at all. Being silent of mind has many rewarding benefits.
We all have come pre-programmed to have the abilities of intuition and awareness of opportunities so getting to know oneself leads to being conscious enough to take advantage of synchronicity. Leading the spiritual being into a journey into the greater flow. Or as my friend Meredith Murphy calls it…… I am now in flow motion. Having a silent mind is being in direct contact with the cosmic consciousness, the etheric record, “or where all information is stored” leads to vision that moves my being along in opportunity by growing creativity. Continuity of thought and memory increases exponentially.
Ending the Suffering:
This is the easy part. When you have hit your bottom and cannot tolerate anymore suffering. You will be finding yourself with a limited amount of options. I hope that your choices are different than mine. Ending the suffering is easy, if you can become willing to accept responsibilities for all that you have done. Stop running from your problems, and grab up all of your troubles and embrace them like you would for a crying baby. When complete acceptance is found for everything. All suffering melts away. All you have to do know, is not create anymore suffering by exercising staying in the moment and being non-reactive to either good or bad news. Simply be in total acceptance of the moment.
Here is the whopper:
After practicing meditation often as possible and beginning to do it through out your day in a walking or working meditation, meanwhile being non -reactive to good or bad news leads to an experience called “Samadhi” or oneness with the cosmos. Science already promotes the idea of multiple realities. After reaching Samadhi, it becomes difficult to see the world as material anymore. What becomes visible is that which holds the universe together. Pure Consciousness. Time, space and matter are illusions. Everything in this world is happening right here and right now and at the same time. Past and present and space are illusions that are built by the beliefs of mankind. Transcending any problems with self or the environment is simple. Get to know yourself and then you will understand what science is teaching us. We are all ONE. Humans are simply smaller organisms in a greater whole. I am you and you are I. We are all one. Our similarities far outweigh our differences. Wars are futile because we are simply harming ourselves. When I harm you, I am harming myself.
Who am I?
I am a being of light that is expanding in consciousness and I allow myself to be defined as you choose by my actions and accomplishments rather than my attempts to explain in shallow identity descriptions. I am part of a unified field of consciousness that is infinite and ripe with possibility, I am the journey and I am not the destination.
I am ONE! Experiencing this world subjectively, while you are learning something different since you and I are the same, I am Learning lessons through you because we are one.
